Elliott has a breadth of experience running complex class actions along with largescale commercial, restructuring and insolvency disputes throughout Australia.  He is also an international arbitration expert having practised throughout Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

He has expertise in both plaintiff and defendant litigation work in Australia, with a focus on plaintiff class action proceedings and commercial and corporate disputes in respect of misleading and deceptive conduct claims, breaches of the Corporations Act,  multi-jurisdictional international arbitration and cross border trade disputes.  He has spent a significant amount of time in-house at both a big 4 bank and a big 4 accounting firm and has an impressive understanding of his client’s commercial imperatives.

Elliott acts for both public and private clients including banks, insolvency practitioners, directors, auditors, and private equity firms. 

Elliott currently runs a number of noteworthy securities class actions, along with significant recovery actions in some of the largest insolvencies in Australia.  He regularly speaks at conferences and industry seminars and his recognitions include being listed as a ‘Rising Star’ in Asia Pacific Legal 500.
